somewhere in the middle of it, summer starts to feel like something you’re being graded on. did you go anywhere. did you make the most of it. did it look like summer.
there’s another one running underneath. the ordinary one — a warm evening on the way home, a swim you almost skipped, three unremarkable tuesdays in a row. it doesn’t photograph well. ==it’s still yours==.
